Hikes
This week's favorite: Jud Wiebe
It's quick. It's strenuous. And it's in perfect shape right now.
The Jud Wiebe is a great lunchtime break, after-work jaunt, or early morning wake-up. It is a loop which takes anywhere from an hour to two, and it's steep enough to get the heart pumping and get a great workout. It's a little less than four miles and it features a great view of the town and the surrounding San Juan Mountains.
The trailheads are at the top of Aspen or Oak Street. If you're leaving via Aspen, which is clockwise and preferable for most people, you access the trail by taking the bridge to your left. The trail is very obvious and easy to follow, and will spit you out onto Tomboy Road, which joins the top of Oak Street.
Enjoy, and get your legs in shape for the summer. We've got lots more hikes waiting for you!
